About this policy

Gola Bazar is a local marketplace for discovering shops, viewing products and offers, contacting businesses and placing cash-on-delivery orders. This policy covers our Android app, website and supporting services.

Information we collect

• Account and contact details such as name, verified phone number, village, PIN code and optional profile details.
• Precise location only when you choose a map pin for an order, shop location or advertising area.
• Photos, catalogue and product content, comments, likes, follows, orders, campaign activity and shop/business information you provide.
• Device, notification and advertising identifiers, diagnostics and basic usage information needed for security, notifications, analytics and advertising.

Passwords are stored as secure hashes. We do not store card details. Current customer orders use cash on delivery; promotion payment references may be retained for support and accounting.

How we use information

We use information to verify accounts, operate the marketplace, process orders, deliver notifications, provide shop and promotion tools, measure engagement, display advertising, improve the service, prevent fraud and comply with law. We do not sell personal information.

Sharing and service providers

Order and enquiry details are shared with the relevant shop. Google AdMob may process advertising identifiers; Google Maps processes map requests and chosen locations; Firebase services may deliver notifications. WhatsApp receives information only when you choose to open or send a message. We may disclose information when legally required.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. We retain information only as long as needed for service, security, legal and accounting obligations. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and account deletion

Logged-in customers can delete their account from Account & Data inside the app. Customer login data is deleted and retained order records are anonymised. Shopkeeper requests are reviewed so legitimate public business and transaction records can be preserved while account access and personal data are removed as required.

Children

Gola Bazar is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed to children.
